Airline Tycoon Deluxe

How do routes work anyway?
I am having trouble to establish routes for my plane. I have the 2 planes you start in the Campaign mission "The Last Tycoon" (the one you need to improve your airline's image a lot) and I recently bought a new airplane. Since 2 out of the planes I have are for less than 180 passengers and 6000 km, I am using the other plane left (196 passengers and 6400 km) for the London-JFK route. I keep getting this route revoked every single time, even though I have flights back and forth (London-JFK or JFK-London) every day (average of 3 flights every day). The daily requirement is 6.148 km and the current requirement is 25.109 km. I don't get it what I am doing wrong. Can anybody help me with this?

The reuqirement you named are the people who wants / need to fly the route daily and at the moment, you have to cover at least 10% of the routes needs regarding capacity or u will get a letter which tells you, that u r in danger to lose it. In my endless game i am covering this Route with 2 self constructed planes. My Rhino can carry 600 ppl and has a speed of 1.500km/h....and i am at about 50-60% of the capacity...I dont think it is possible to cover this route (because of the need in capacity) with one plane.

In general my tip for routes: rent one, take 1 or 2 planes which are just flying this route again and again, check if your coverage is good (at the route plan for example) and take the next route with the next planes....in my endless game: 42 routes, 25million $ per night....and just working with routes...because of lazziness ;)

It's pretty easy, you need to set up enough flights/passengers to fill at least 10% of the daily demand. Let's say your London-JFK route demands 5000 daily., then you need to make sure you have enough planes flying on there to cover at least 10% of that (both ways) Usually takes 4-5 planes on routes like that (depending on your planes).
