Problems with keyboard controls (weird behavior) on Linux
Hello everyone, I'm a bit at a loss for what to do:

I just installed the game on Linux Mint and after battling for 30 minutes trying the see anything (at first all you get is a black screen, apparently you need to go in the config file and change something to actually start seeing anything) I could finally start playing.

Alas! My happiness lasted just a couple seconds, as I started to move and realized my french keyboard was in Azerty and the WASD controls aren't practical at all. I remember when I was playing on Windows that just pressing Alt+Shift (or was it Ctrl+Shift? I can't remember) would switch in-game between azerty and qwerty, but it seems it doesn't work on Linux (or is it just a problem with this game?).

Anyway I added the US keyboard layout and relaunched the game. Tried to go forward... It worked, great! And Left? It worked as well, cool the "WA" part of the WASD was fixed. But surprise: now the "SD" part is not working (can't go back, can't go right). I was surprised, as azerty and qwerty keyboard are supposed to have those keys in common... I tried to find those "back" and "right" commands anywhere on the keyboard but they were nowhere to be found!

Under those conditions the game is unplayable. I wanted to get away from Windows and loved using Linux until now, but it's the first time I'm having problems with a game on Linux. My technical knowledge is not good enough and now I'm stuck with a game I can't use. Any help would be greatly appreciated :(

I just tried adding the UK keyboard, which made WASD work! (even when i go back to US keyboard now), but now I can't jump, the SPACE bar doesn't work in either US or UK... This is such a weird behavior, why adding the UK keyboard would make the S and D keys work again in the US keyboard?

Still fidgeting with the controls and I actually tried to pass the US keyboard in priority over the french keyboard (in the order of keyboards) and it fixed the spacebar too. I can finally play (sorry for the long post then) but i still can't understand that weird behavior. Oh also tip for the game: don't try to fly out of the map, it gets all white and the game crashes. Yaaaay ^ ^

Right now, I'm a the black screen stage on Linux Mint. What settings are required in the config?

edit*: Disregard found the workaround in the forums. Had to change the config. Thanks!

I'm on Debian stable, and found that playing with Proton works fine. I had the same black screen so I tried Proton, and everything just worked from there so I never actually got around to fixing the Linux version.
