you cant expect help when youre this vague.
We are sorry that your controller is not working. Please could you send us to support@fourattic.com wich controller are you using, this will help us a lot.
Thanks for taking the time writing your issue and we will try fix it as soon as possible.
It even works with Unity-based games, which is something I haven't seen with other external XInput emulators. I'm using it with my DualShock2 with an USB adapter. Works perfectly with Crossing Souls.
It work with the Steam gamepad / controller setting!
But only in Big Picture-Mode. But this is ok.
Glad if it helped.
BTW, Have you enabled "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support" option? (In Settings -> Controller Tab -> General Controller Settings) The emulation should work fine outside of BPM if you did.
You might also want to apply the "Disabled" template in "Desktop Configuration" too, otherwise your gamepad would start to do some funky stuff in Windows desktop. XD
Also, using the Steam Controller template actually emulates keyboard inputs. Which I guess is fine for Crossing Souls, but if you want finer analog control and/or proper button prompts for other games, select your gamepad in the same General Controller Settings and define its layout. Then you should be able to apply Xbox Controller template which enables analog thumbsticks and triggers as they should.
This is a one-time setup that works for every game launched from Steam client. You can also re-define button layout on per-game basis as well (from the context menu.) Very nifty stuff overall; well worth getting your hands dirty.
