How to solve the puzzle in the desert mine?

Please without story spoilers, can someone tell me what to do there? It's the puzzle with the diary of the woman to find out when the accident with the explosion on the train rails happened.

There a clue if you take a path to top right that has something to do with the thing on the wall where there a bunch of squares on the floor, I had no idea what I had to do with this clue and went to bomb all the squares, (it some where in top left side) if you run out of bombs, there a mine cart back close to the entrance, Best idea is to send a ghost back there next to the mine cart as you can only get a bomb from it if you have no bombs, jumping back to the ghost as the ghost can pick up bombs from it and then jumping back the living to save time. (Yes i did bomb all the squares this way)

It just faster to brute force it this way then try and work it out.

The clue are the symbols in the back and the information on the sheet, replacing the symbols with those on the sheet the solution is 4+4 up 3 right 1 down 2+5 left bomb there is only one possible start and end point and the treasure will be the second tile from top in the first row from the left
