Make Sure you are on the same Wifi Network.... etc

I have an Samsung S4 running the latest Android (lolliop) and I get this error.

I dont have any Antivirus running.

I'm connected to the same Wifi router as the laptop which is running the game and sitting waiting.

Both laptop and phone can connect to the internet.

What are my next debug actions? Can you state which ports might need opening etc?

Which game are you trying to play? The Jackbox Party Pack should not have a message like that, as you don't need to be on the same WIFI connection. If you click the 'help' link on Jackbox.tv it has some tips to help improve controller connection.

Ok, thats strange because I only just bought the game from Steam a few days ago and I downloaded the latest Jack Pad app from the Play Store. (I verified its by you guys and it has 50K downloads...).

I'm trying to play Fibbage XL but I dont think that will really matter as the phone just isnt connecting....

You say the App shouldnt ever give this message?? I went to your website and followed the link to the app and its the same one I have installed... but it still gives that error.

I'll read the help on jackbox.tv but can you help me look into this? Many thanks!

Ok, I uninstalled everything and took these actions:

1. Started the You Dont Know Jack Party Pack on my PC... selected Fibbage XL, got a Room Code.

2. Downloaded the latest JackPad app from the link on your website.

3. Installed the app, ran it and it asked me for my name. It went to a "connecting screen" for a few seconds (maybe 10 secs) and then came back with that error message: "Make sure you are on the same WIFI network as the device you want to play on".

My PC is connected to the same Wifi router by a lan cable, but I have also tried this using my laptop as the PC which connects by Wifi and that didnt work either.

One weird thing is that at the bottom of the screen, as its trying to connect there is a grayed out, pinkish button which has the word "SCREW" written on it. Which seems a little... random. :)

If this is a subliminal attempt to have people have more sex while playing YDNJ games then I heartily approve :)

You don't need to use Jackpad for The Jackbox Party pack. Jackpad is for YDKJ Party (different game all together), to play the Jackbox Party Pack games, you go to Jackbox.tv on your browser.

Again, don't open the app at all, in fact delete it unless you have YDKJ Party. Open a web browser to Jackbox.tv then type in your room code and name.

In YDKJ Party (which uses the Jackpad), there is a SCREW option where you force another player to answer a question without a few seconds.
