You need a web connected browser to play but the games are hosted on your PC

Okay, sorry, I see what you're asking now. You do need to be able to be online with Jackbox.tv, but you can still do it with the computer you're using. You might have to play in windowed mode, though, so you can operate your browser at the same time, or you could try using the Steam browser while you're running the games that require a room code to play.

You don't need to play on a tablet or phone. It's just more fun and meant to be played together in the same room so everybody can use their phone they probably have. PC with keyboard/mouse works too.
