Any anti-cheat software?
Hey rob, i wanted to ask you If there is any anti-cheat engine, because me and 2 of my friends sometimes play 1v1v1 and at the end of the Match it turns out that one of our friends is cheating. But He is still like: nonono i didnt cheat, its totally legit (having an entire Wall around his Base FULL with sentrys or researching 64 things (i think thats the Maximum amount of What you can Research) and having enough iron to build an entire heavy Tank army. WITH 25 POWER. So mmmmmhhh "legit" then He did it again and said no He didnt cheat and at the end He said yea i did but just the Power. It pisses us so off that we want to punish him in some way so He learns out of his mistakes and doesnt Do it again. Hope u got a sollution :D:

So is there anything you can Do?

If I may, perhaps an algorithm that checks iron, trion, and power production periodically throughout the match, initiating some sort of punishment (maybe reset all research, set all resources to 0, deatomize all buildings, or all AI focus that player... maybe a combination) if Iron > 200, Trion > 50, or Power > 250. It's not perfect, won't get rid of cheaters, and can be worked around, but nonetheless may be a fairly easy step in the right direction and at least downsize the cheaters a bit by stopping extremely ludicrous production rates.

Would totally love that idea! Maybe if you start the game where you can customize maximung thorium add a button for AntiCheat. And if you see a server in the Server list add a AntiCheat icon so guys who cheat see that and wont play on that server.

i really love the idea of all ai focusing the cheating player xD just the reaction of cheaters would be so nice if they flame: "how unfair!" not knowing its acounter to their cheats. that would only work on matches with 2 ai players since one ai player wouldnt be enough to actaually set pressure on someone whos cheating, if u would combine that with all his units despawning or maybe his defences degenerating it could work pretty good

The hard part is detecting the cheat. Will look into something but its not going to be a quick fix sorry. Never really thought about anti cheating before. I guess I used to cheat when I was younger but only in singleplayer games, plus its much more satisfying winning when not cheating.

Is this a prolific problem?

well with that small playerbase its hard to say if its prolific but i personally encountered two guys cheating while playing, although i was still able to win against one of them since that guy was pretty bad even with cheats
