Download and install SimPE.
Navigate to the game's installation folder: C > Program Files > EA Games > The Sims 2 > [Expansion Pack Name] > TSData > Res > Sound
Look for files named "Pop.package" in each expansion pack folder. Not every expansion pack includes pop music, so this file may not always be present.
Then launch SimPE, click File > Open, browse to the "Pop.package" file and open it.
In the resource list, you'll see files named "mp3 or xa Sound File". These are the actual music tracks. Right-click on the file and select "Extract" and choose a folder to save the extracted MP3 files.
SimPE exports files with long hashed names, but you can find the original track name in the exported MP3's Properties > Details tab.
