No mod support?

i tried to insert my old mods but when i played the game

it was like nothing was there wtf EA

I've had no issues with the mods I play with. Had to place them in Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\Downloads

Most mods work, some don't, it's very common in any game for updates to break mods, it's just this game is now being updated for the first time in over a decade so people aren't used to it happening in this particular game.

have you gone into your game settings to enable them? in the right side there should be something that says custom content menu on or off then t hen there is a big asterisk you click that and check if your custom content is enabled or disabled

I had but they simply don't work

I have a large collection of mods that are working great for me, and a bit of cc. (I'm trying to not go crazy with cc lol). Make sure they are all in your Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\Downloads folder. You'll need to create the Downloads folder, and make sure it is capitalized.

You can have subfolders in your Downloads folder, which really helps to keep all the mods organized, but everything needs to be in the Downloads folder unless it has different installation instructions. Some mods will need to be placed in different locations, or even in the program files for the game if they replace default functions or assets. I downloaded a better neighbourhood camera, and that had to be installed in the Cameras folder. So just check the installation instructions.

I'm pretty sure you know a lot of this already! I included it for others reading the thread, but your issue could simply be some mods being too old. They might not have been updated for the all the EPs or Mansions and Gardens. It can also be a mod conflict. You can try checking them one by one or give this utility:
