Sims 2 Visual c ++ runtime error

I literally cant play the game right now because I keep having this pop up and then it closes the game. I have tried web-chat on EA website and they cant fix it so any advice would be much appreciated

I've had the same issue since the latest update :/

The advice I've seen is:
- Delete Cache files
- Reinstall latest C++
- Completely reinstall the game

I've done everything but the last option, since I had installed some lots etc and it's such a pain to reinstall.

these haven't worked for me, but maybe they'll work for someone else.

I really hope the next patch fixes things, in the meantime, guess I'll just cry T_T
