The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

Runtime Error
The new patch made a runtime error appear. I can play, but every 30 minutes the game will shut down because of it. Please fix!

Same here! The new patch destroyes everything!
I'm also getting this, and it's really irritating. Didn't have this issue in any of the previous patches.

Same here !! I already have lost my game three times...
Same here
same shi*...there were no problems before this, i played last night
same, they just keep making things worse, at this rate is better to find ultimate collection and play it
I can't even get my game to load. I thought it had to do with Custom Content overload, but if I'm not the only one, maybe it's this.
Womp Womp.
same grrr
Weird suggestion but try loading up the oldest, longest running save you have. I loaded in a hood, custom content and all, from 2007 or so and have played with that exclusively and haven't seen any issues other than occasional crashes to desktop which have almost completely subsided since I think the 3rd patch. Keeping in mind I have NEVER actually played a neighborhood created by any of the Legacy Collection builds of the game engine.

Perhaps EA broke something with how neighborhoods are created and loading one made in a previous build prevents the issues as I seriously haven't seen 99% of the new bugs people are reporting and have played dozens of hours in Legacy Collection.

If you're going to try this keep in mind sticking to the pre-made hoods won't work since these get created by the game when first selected, you'll have to restore an OLD backup or download a custom hood from back in the day

still happens in custom made hoods from way back to 2005, there's gotta be a huge problem with the game engine, with Ultimate collection (circa 2008-2013) never had a single issue other than typical crashes once the neighborhood became over saturated with lots, but that version is no longer available (in a safe way)
Sugest - repair the game using steam game's propriety
Try delete your cache files in the document file they will be named accessory.cache and group.cache

Try your cache files i already comment this earlier be i want you to see this as the game not opening at all due to runtime errors are commonly fix by deleting the cache

it still happens, no matter what
This is happening to me as well, thought it was a mod, but I've seen others talking about it. I've also dealt with red flashing items and sims.
