The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

Anyone else watching James Turner's SIms 2 videos?
While waiting to make a decision as to whether I want to buy The SIms 2 Legacy Collection or not I seem to be entertained by his videos with rags to riches. Besides him losing a sim once in his first gameplay I am impressed that he seems to not have any other issues. Last video I watched he was trying for a baby with Deligracy (but she has a different name in gameplay in addition to James having a different name in gameplay).

So I watched part 4 with James Turner's video for Sims 2 Legacy Collection, but contrary to other complaints he did not get stuck on a loading screen at vacation world. It only got stuck when returning back to his hotel where he was forced to reload game from a previous save before he went on vacation. So apparently the vacation world is bugged even if you can get past the first loading screen. Try for baby and romance options seem to work in his videos as well.

For some reason I seem to recall one or more of the hotel lots in the island hood being badly corrupted from stock, like as far back as Bon Voyage's original release. I think the issue can be fixed by replacing the affected lots (I don't recall which ones, I don't use the island vacation hood much, I just add beach lots to Bluewater Village), like just bulldoze, build or download a replacement and you're good.

I think the only way to forcibly remove a family from the corrupted lot and send them back home is to delete the entire island hood however, so it's best to fix before sending anyone on vacation or editing the hood.

Thank you. I recently purchased this game on February 27th, but that is good to know.
