Infinite loading screen when traveling

My game's loading screens were super fast, now I took my family on a honeymoon trip, it loaded the hotel, and when I went to leave for a community lot, it went into an infinite loading screen. I closed the game and now I can't access my family because it keeps loading infinitely, does anyone have the same problem and managed to solve it?

What are your system specs?
Also are you using any mods? Legacy has new code and can/will cause infinite loading.

This is a common bug, ea managed to break Bon Voyage. The only way to get the family back is by deleting the vacation world.

Just do not go anywhere on vacation right now until this vacation bug is fixed.

I have an NVIDIA GTX 1080, 8GB of RAM and an Intel i5 from the 8th. The entire game is running normally. I put a mod to be able to have more than 8 sims in the family, but I don't think it's working, I don't know if I put the folder in the wrong place, or if this version of the mod doesn't work for Legacy

I tried to get the family out of the house, but since my sims are traveling, he won't let me... If I delete the vacation destination, will they just come home? Aren't you going to lock your family away for good?

It's safe to delete the vacation world. When you load the family after that, they'll just arive in a taxi like nothing happened

Still having problems with this even after 5 patch updates? Shocking, but one of the game breaking bugs related to vacation hotels is supposed to be fixed now as of today.

not only on vacation spots but it seems the 5th patch corrupted the game or saves in someway or another since whenever i try to play a household loading is infinite, it hadn't happened to me before not even yesterday and not even with 13,000 mod files installed

I recently purchased The Sims 2 Legacy Collection, but have not noticed this issue yet and I am only playing on vanilla. No issues with infinite loading screen when loading households and no issues when making households from CaS either. My only criticism right now is more limited CaS options than The SIms 4 and The SIms 3. The Sims Legacy Collection has the worst CaS and The Sims 2 Legacy Collection has the second worst CaS. I also do not like build mode as much from The Sims 2 as The Sims 4 and The Sims 3 for a variety of different reasons.

After more testing done at least when traveling to a community lot there is no infinite loading screen for me. Relationships seem to be harder to develop in The Sims 2 than newer Sims games, but I have not noticed anything else that is concerning to me and relationship difficulties are probably not bug related.

Interesting, I haven't tried an actual vacation in a vacation hood yet but the motel I built in my home hood to allow for easier affairs and woo-hooing seems to work correctly. For those that aren't aware you can make custom versions of restricted lot types (hotels, apartments, dorms) by building them out as community lots then using the "changelotzoning" console command, hotels and campsites are allowed to exist outside vacation hoods!

I've also heard (rumours, not confirmed) that some of the pre-made hotel lots are problematic and have been since prior to Legacy Collection, if this is the case simply delete using the in-game bulldoze tool and either build a custom one yourself or download one someone else has made to replace it. Deleting it and replacing it with a copy from the lot bin may work too since I've never had issues with the pre-made hotels placed in other hoods.
