Two questions

I haven't played the og Sims 2 in years so there's some things I'd like to ask

Wasn't there an option in the menu to adjust how long your sims live for?

And is there any way to rebind keys? I really would love the rebind the rotate camera buttons to these two buttons on my mouse for ease of access.

I'd rather not cheat if I can help it. I just want to double the amount of days between age ups. Feels like as it is now it's way too short.

You are thinking of the sims 3 with adjusting the ages, in the sims 2 it is set and you have to install mods to change it unfortunately. And I don't think there is a way to rebind keys, although it would not surprise me if there's a mod out there somewhere for it

If you know of mods that do either of those and if they work with this version of the game please let me know.

you can just buy the life elixer green vile thing for aspiration points and drink that as long as your sim is in gold or white aspiration it will give you 3 extra sim days per drink! (as long as you aren't already at max amount of days)

No you could only do that in sims 3 but there are many aging mods on modthesims to make the life stages more balanced.

There isn't a way to rebind keys in the game itself but you can get a camera mod to change the draw distance and other camera behavior in game but that's about it.
