Keeps crashing?

I'm able to download everything. I was SO happy, I added all the expansion packs on sims 2 but as soon as I try to load in on a house, it says there's an error and shuts me out of sims 2. I've restarted my laptop and I'm downloading it on my computer aswell. Just to see if its the laptop thats the issue (even though the laptop is newer and better quality) I'm just confused.

I'm gonna send a screenshot of the message to steam and see what their suggestion is, if theres nothing they can do then i'd recommend getting a refund until they sort out all the issues

I've tried contacting EA which feels impossible, so many loop holes to try contact them and im at a loss. I just want to play the game. Gets to the same point then terminates the game

Same problem here! I'm very angry, my game was normal, but now I can't play for even 5 minutes. I don't know what else to do. I spent money for nothing.

Same, I wanted to spend my weekend playing on sims (as sad as that sounds!) I've opened 2 cases with EA so i'm just waiting for a response. Are you able to get a refund until they sort the issues?

Yeah, I wanted to play all weekend too! I thought about asking for a refund, but I live in Brazil and here we have a credit card payment option, so the money just goes back to the Steam account, which I don't think is worth it. I'm very frustrated! And honestly, I don't believe this problem will be resolved by EA. :(

Yes, I was able to play University just fine, and now my Sim is an adult and I moved them into an apartment lot, instant crash as soon as the lot loads.

Thats so frustrating, i've opened 2 cases with EA and got a refund. When they've fixed it, i will buy it again. I've explained the reason why i want a refund from steam, so hopefully they patch it up asap!
