The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

Does the new patch actually work?
I uninstalled the game after the first patch because I was fed up with disappearing sims, but I've seen that a new patch got released which apparently fixes it. Is it actually fixed? If so I will reinstall the game again to give it another go

Edit: okay so I did reinstall the game and so far the disappearing sims glitch hasn't occurred. Still holding my breath for now, but it's looking promising!

I've updated and while I haven't made any new sims which have disappeared, I have noticed some other bugs around cooking are still there.
Nope. They still disappear.
Didn't have any sim disappear but did have a hard freeze which forced an alt f4

whats your guys recommendation in its current state, good enough to buy or wait for more patches?
Kind of, my kids and pets are okay. Now my adult sims disappear
The bad sim audio was fixed, but now I can't delete modular stairs. You get infinite money trying to remove with a sledgehammer and can't replace the steps it does delete. Makes the lot unusable. I had to evict my family to place on a new lot to get around it.
Guys look into OneDrive issue, it causes the disappearing sims/lots. It was an issue with Ultimate Collection too, I disabled OneDrive since, never had a problem again.

My game got worse with the 2nd patch. I'd switched to my laptop and was having much better luck, only occasional food glitches and that was about it. now I've had two sims vanish and the screen keeps freezing.

had the same problem, 1st patch solved it (i already played numerous times), no issues after the 2nd patch, never had to fiddle with OneDrive .

100% wait a bit longer. Although there has been attempts at fixing things, each patch seems to fix some things for people and break stuff further for others (or at least that’s what I’m gathering by looking through the community). In its current state it would be a waste of money, especially considering the sims 2 used to be given out for free 10 years ago and was in a better state somehow

Nope. Game still crashes when trying to create a Sim.
My sim seems to glitch out and disappear on community lots. Which is a real shame because I spend a lot of time on them ususally.

Its a bit hard to tell, seems some people are still getting bugs, patches solved for me the issue of sims being unable to eat cooked food or cooked food disappearing, but maybe its just my current save and it could happen again.
