The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

Mods?
I just want to download some basic mods to improve the default hair textures, the skin textures and the eye textures, nothing more for the beginning, but I don't really know where to download that. ModTheSims is the Page I used when Sims 2 was modern, but that site has problems loading for me at all at the moment. TSR is full of annoying ads and I don't want to pay for an adless experience. Isn't there a Page like Nexusmods for The Sims 2?

Anyone got some recommendation for mod pages or maybe a basic graphic enhancement mod collection?

Here is some more EA made content that wasn't included in this collection http://thesimsgraveyard.com/index.php/download/category/4-sims-2-ea-store?start=0 (alternate link) https://games4theworld.org/downloads/sims-2-store-items/ The graveyard site also has ton of stuff from dead custom content websites. The sims resource has some good stuff too if they're still up.

You can find almost all of the default replacements for the game here.
use adblockers to deal with TSR also dont be affraid to wait a few seconds for mods to download dont let TSR bully you into paying them for faster downloads

Sucks to hear about MTS not working for ya. Some of the mods I was looking for like "borderless fullscreen" are on Tumblr lol. I think it was already kind of like that back then. Mods and the such being on other websites.

I remember absolutely hating the TSR as a kid. Everything was paywalled there.

Weird question? Have you tried using a VPN or another browser? Sometimes websites just load wonky for me. And I switch from my default Firefox to Google Chrome sometimes. Generic answer would probably be clear/reset your cache.
TSR took down the paywall around 2013 and switched to ads.
