LGR Reviews Sims 2 Steam Re-Release
If you put a gun to my head and gave me 5 seconds to recommend a Sims youtuber, I'd probably recommend LGR. He's tough on the series, but fair, and I think people should see his review:

A few major things are pointed out here, like how the resolution has been fixed, how the game uses Vulkan instead of Directx, etc. It's pretty much a straight port with changes to allow it to run, but even so - LGR gives it a glowing recommendation and that is ultimately what pushed me to rebuy it.

Yes it does crash but, it's a 21 year old game at this point?

he successfully shilled a broken port of the game to you 😂 😂 😂 😂
Max Payne (2001, 24 year old game) runs with NO issues on Windows 11...
He does not give it a glowing recommendation he says it's buggy and crashes a load. he says the old games are amazing but this port isn't great. "It makes it pretty hard to recommend, I'm so mixed on this"
I hope you're enjoying the game though :)

That being said, YES I agree! watch LGR he's great, fair and funny and does far more than just sims game stuff.

Did you not watch the full video or just ignoring it on purpose? he said that he does not recommend buying these games because its a awful port and you will be crashing more than playing. He however recommends playing the sims 1 + 2 on their own if you can get them to play on older hardware or via fan community patches.

After installing two fan patches, one because the renderer doesn't work, the other because sound doesn't work, neither have worked since Windows 7 lol.
