Game Lagging Out

I didn't have a single problem until today but the game will work fine but as soon as I speed up time, it starts to lag and the game just progresses like a sloth. It fixes if I pause the game or go into another menu but as soon as I resume time, it lags again. Anyone else have this problem or know a fix?
