What's the difference between this and the Ultimate Collection that was free?
Before EA delisted The Sims 2 Ultimate Edition, they gave it away for free to anyone who wanted it from the store. What's different between that, and this expensive re-release? Anything?

For now? The Ultimate Collection should be a lot stabler if you use the right mods + You have access to Ikea and Body Shop.

This version is perfect if you are lazy/or don’t own the UC. In my case I like to have my games on Steam. The problem is this version is broken so don’t touch it until they release a patch.

In the Legacy Collection, the ikea stuff pack is missing as well as a couple of songs (both because of licensing). And another factor it's SUPPOSEDLY to be that it runs on modern hardware, when with the Ultimate Collection you have to fix it yourself with community made patches for it to run.

I say supposedly because apparently this one also needs said patches.
