CC not showing in game

I spent hours downloading mods and cc, seems that all my mods work fine, but NONE of my cc is showing in game. I looked up various solutions but the only one I found is to use TS2Body Shop, and unfortunately EA decided not to inlude the TS2Body Shop in the Sims 2 Release. I am quite devasted, has anyone downloaded hair, skin defaults etc and things worked fine for them?

i did same thing...well some of them are appearing and most of the clothes i downloaded did not xD try thesimssource (hair from there works perfect)

Did you enable custom content ingame? Look around the options menu, there is an option for this (can't say where exactly, don't have the game running now to check).
