Can’t delete stairs?

I don’t know what happened but there are some stairs that i build on my sims home and i cannot delete it even with a sledgehammer. Everytime i deleted it, it delete the other existing stairs and not the one that i clicked. My sims can’t even walk past it. Any idea why?

And for the love of god please fix these dang bugs. We literally paid 40$ for these 😭

ive had to restart from scratch twice because of this bug. Very annoying and hope they fix soon

it is super annoying, that's why i took the steps that i did. I at least saved my current save

when i try the move objects cheat it says error corruption

Okay so as of some time February 20th they pushed out a patch to the stairs. I think any older instances of stairs are going to have to be nuked.

I have done that, re-established the stairs, and then reloaded a family after saving and we seem to be good.

I'd also point to NeoJ4K3's advice on further stair nuking as I do know there's these sort of "invisible remnants" of the stairs that can linger in those spots too.

I thought it was just me with this problem! In addition to not being able to delete the stairs, they seem to be bugging the way the sims walk around the house. I made a house with two side gardens accessed through different doors and a garden at the back, for some reason the sims use the side gardens to get to the back garden, teleporting there when they go down the stairs. BIZARRE
