The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

Lazy cash grab?
This game is the one that got away from me and has a great reputation so i wanted to try it but with mixed reviews i can't in good consience buy it. I also hear that there is a save corruption bug but that isn't fixed. Is this true?

They're just trying to feed off of nostalgia, and a game that hadn't ripped the bare-bones off the entire game.

Probably because even while The Sims 4 is "free" now, people are r-tarded enough notice The Sims 4 is actually a $2000 dollar game (probably even more was just a ballpark number).

So EA got to thinking, if people aren't going to support, and buy the DLC in The Sims 4 anymore, just bring back the old games that didn't completely strip a game down.

I'm actually surprised this many people bought the Sims 1, and 2 for nostalgia reasons. I personally wouldn't have given EA another dime with the Sims franchise until they make a proper one, which let's be real, it'll probably never happen.
I gotta say. I had the abandonware version of 1 and 2 as that's the only way I could play. I bought this collection and they actually play better imo. I didn't have to install any fixes like 4gb patch or the shadows fix because it's already done. Plus Sims 1 widescreen and both games UI is scaled better for me at 1440p. So, it's nice having them as part of my collection on Steam now and they have both run great without issue. Only thing I had to do was limit Sims 2 from 144fps to 60fps in order to stop a minor camera panning issue when it's set to follow a Sim. Guess that's just where it wasn't quite designed for higher refresh rates or something.
