The voices definitely sound robotic though - compressed.
you cannot change your eyebrows in the mirror. that's right. the game will crash
And before you stalk my profile no, I don't own this release. I don't need to be covered in sh*t to know what that is.
Agreed! When did we just start accepting broken games? This game came out years ago! There is no excuse. Developers behind Sims now just don't have the same vibe. What SHOULD they have done? Come out with a remastered version that ISN'T broken but actually is better. Improved graphics, bug fixes, EVERYTHING included + a few updated items (outfits, lots, hair, music) cc creators do it daily but Sims just couldn't bother. Why is that?? because they have NO <3 just after that $$$
Any game breaking bugs on The SIms 2 need to be fixed quickly. What if some people will not buy The Sims 2 because of finding about this? This would mean less money for EA. CaS (including the creation of households and changing a sim's appearance) should not be causing crashes every single time someone enters it. I am just hoping that communication reaches EA and they do not ignore it, unless if they do not care about this game flopping due to mostly negative reviews on Steam. Just because many people have nostalgia of playing The SIms 2 necessarily mean that this re-release will be just as good as the original game if it proves to be more broken than the original which is currently not available on Steam.
I edited my comment by adding "Just because many people have nostalgia of playing The SIms 2 necessarily means that this re-release will be just as good as the original game if it proves to be more broken than the original which is currently not available on Steam." This is in specific reference to the CD version and another version that used to be available on Steam at one point before being removed that was free at one point for a limited time only.
Have you played the game? A lot goes into creating a character thats why they released the Body Shop. Without it you can't save a sim to be reused in other towns or saves. Why would I wait when I can get the fixed version for free? Did you know that Sims even released a free version back in 2014 (https://www.noobfeed.com/news/ea-ending-support-for-the-sims-2-but-offering-ultimate-collection-upgrade-for-free) plus there are plenty of sites online where you can get it free AND it's even improved on because Modders actually LOVE the game not $$
