The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

Doesn't Launch
When I start the game my screen goes black for a moment to then just going back on the desktop with - what i assume - the default ingame resolution. Yet the Taskbar never shows the game icon, it just shows a blank new task. I can wait forever, nothing happens.

Anyone else with this issue?

I had the same issue.
My solution:
  • Find "Sims2EP9.exe" in "\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Sims 2 Legacy Collection\EP9\TSBin"
  • Open file properties, go to compatibility.
  • In "Compatibility mode" section choose compatibility with Windows 7.
  • In settings section, mark following options:
    • Disable fullscreen optimizations.
    • Run this program as an administrator.
  • Click "Apply" button.

I've the same issue... has it been resolved for you ??
I have been replaying the same scene for many times, the game keep crashing out and it's so frustrating. This game is unplayable eventhough I love TS2 so much.

Thank you for sharing it though, I pinned it as the "answer" if anyone else stumbles across it.
Thank you for this info. I did this and I finally got the game to load.
