those of us who had the original The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection just screwed?
We have to buy exactly the same product just to make it compatible with windows 11

Just mod it. Original doesn’t have Denuvo.

They literally accept that is the same thing, they're just charging $30 for a casual hotfix update.

- Compatible with windows 11
- updated render engine
- more resolutions for monitors

it is a bit of a hustle but you can make it work on W11, check some tutorials on YT

Go to the r/sims2 reddit, these starter pack starter pack has all fixes preinstalled. They put not effort into fixing the bugs in this one.

Well The Sims 2 UC was free and was given away almost 11 yrs ago.

I don't agree with it, just providing some context. Not the worst thing in the world tbh.

Well considering they havent sold the game in years this was more so for ppl who dont have the game to buy it. if you already owned it idk why you bought it. no one forced you too. almost every game re-release is just a graphics and bug update
