I keep hearing it crashes a lot? Is that easy to overlook, since many say its good?
I have never played Sims 1 or 2, so just trying to decide which one to get.
As I can only get one atm.
Do you think $29.99 is a fair price and worth every penny?
So far for me, The Sims 2 has launched with no issues or crashes, splendid.

Check out r/sims2 reddit, the version of the game their genuinely runs better than this and is free

Thank you everyone for all the feedback! I greatly appreciate it. <3

What are any of your opinions of Sims 1? I heard it's more of a survival, lol. I guess because some say it's insanely hard to even keep your sim alive?

Sims 4, I play once in awhile. Kind meh.. I get bored with it pretty fast.
Sims 3, I adore and love and I got that after 4. But there is something about 3 that makes it fun! So don't care if I die a lot in the first one, as long as I can have fun doing it. lmao
But from the screen shots it looks pretty aged?
Or does that not really matter because of game play?
If game play is great, idc what a game looks like.
But if both suck...?
The sims 1 from what I've read on the forums here is very limited graphically, its stuck in perpetual 4:3 aspect ratio which is not ideal... The sim 2 (which is the game I repurchased on its own) offers a lot more options both gameplay wise and in settings.

I am biased because this game is my all time favorite in the franchise and with most of the expansion packs included, there is plenty for you to do. I'm running the game at all max settings, its not that demanding for a game that is 21 years old and it still holds up in my estimates easily.

I just wish they included a borderless windowed option so tabbing in and out wouldn't be such a hassle.

Thank you so very much for the info! That helps a lot. And borderless would of been nice.
I hope you have a great day and have fun with Sims 2.

I think I got all the info I need now. <3

If you can only get 1, get Sims 2. 1 was revolutionary for it's time, and it's an ok game, but it hasn't aged very well. Sims 2 on the other hand has, it is way better than 1. I was playing both games when thye came out and nver looked back to 1, once 2 was out.

The expensive sim.
Hell yeah! :steamhappy:

The music in 2 is my fav or all the sims. Nice to see it available for purchase again.

2 is my fav, but 4 is as close as it gets and a bit better in some ways. Lots of deco add on's for building like building a Gothic castle.

2 just has a bit of charm that i enjoy, if your a fan of retro gaming, this one is worth grabbing.

I litterary tried everything yesterday. SimPE, clean custom neighborhoods, empty stealth hoods, Hoodchecker, Sims2Pack Clean installer, mods, cheats, graphic settings and so on to see if it works with TS2 Legacy.
Everything works so far and the game didn´t crash, so I haven´t had problems so far at least :D

Thank you for your feedback. I will be getting it, thinking I will wait to just get the combo pack. At $10 more, it seems like it would just be a waste not to.
So I will look forward to that. I just have to wait a bit.
RDR2 is on sale till the 6th for only $20. So thinking I better grab that first, since Sims will be 39.99 for some time.

Maybe they'll even put out a few updates, sprucing it up a bit. Or maybe not, lol.
But I will get it either way.

Now, I just wish Castaways or Urbz would come back!! <3
I really hope they fix the bugs, i love this game.
