The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

The Sims™ 2 Legacy Collection

Do not delete pre-existing worlds warning
I am just mentioning this because contrary to newer Sims games you are not allowed to do this that most likely cannot be reversed. It is a mistake other people are taking notice of that could potentially be easily avoidable which includes both basegame and dlc worlds. I did not do this, but have considered buying The SIms 2 Legacy Collection at some point and in my opinion there should be an "are you sure?" pop up shortly before deleting worlds that gives a warning that you cannot get them back if deleted.

I am just making my point across that newly created worlds are okay to delete, but pre-existing worlds I do not think should be deleted on The SIms 2 Legacy Collection.
maxis worlds are ok to delete and you can add them back in installation folder, on the other hand CC neighborhoods if you delete them and try to add them back even if they are in your neighborhoods folder they won't show up in game ever again not even re-installing the game and I'm not sure why

I did not know that. Interesting, but regardless I would prefer to not delete them in the first place and would be foolish to delete them because custom made worlds require a lot more work and effort than those that are pre-made. Pleasantview for example should not be deleted, because there is lore behind it with Bella Goth's alien abduction in addition to Don Lothario and Cassandra Goth. Also lore behind it with the Pleasant family and other pre-existing households. The pre-exisiting households and worlds on The SIms 2 (which includes both original and Legacy Collection) overall seem to have more lore behind them than any of The SIms 4 worlds and households. Additionally, not only does The SIms 2 have more lore than The SIms 4, but it probably has more lore behind it than even The SIms 3 as well.

yeah i know, i had to delete one because the save was corrupted when moving households to another lot (something EA hasnt adressed still) and sims would just stand still and rotate with wants rolling like a slot machine, also it kept appearing on lots the dreaded pink textures and I still keep finding bugs in game, for example when playing unpopulated custom neighborhoods and you assign all of your sims, The carpool for jobs never shows up and your sim has to either walk home to work or own a car as a workaround, same goes to children and teens, schoolbus never shows and in job it appears blank with just the schedule reading "from 12pm to 12pm" It'ss still beyond broken

I think that the problem is related to file corruption involving the saved game instead of any world being the problem that requires deletion. Custom worlds should be okay to delete, because they start from scratch. I am in no hurry to buy The SIms 2 Legacy Collection and the reason why I have not purchased it yet on Steam even though it is almost March. Also, depending on how patient I can wait I might even wait until March 28th before I buy this game which is the same day inZOI is supposed to come available on Steam. it would be my way of making a statement that I would rather buy this game on Steam than inZOI if I am willing to wait that long. While it is tempting for me to buy The Sims 2 Legacy Collection on Steam YouTube videos do exist for Legacy Collection that can be watched for free to help give me at least somewhat of a better idea for what gameplay is like before I buy.
