Regular game play and 2x fast forward for buttery for me, especially once you build up a cache.
What are your specs?
You really have 0 stutter and a perfectly flat frame time graph?
Every sims 2 YouTuber seems to have the same issue as me
Microstutters when moving the camera around especially on maps with a lot of sims and activity
Unfortunately, the average sims player is a computer illiterate that only plays the sims or just cozy little games, mainly on a laptop. For over a decade, most of the "simmers" were scared to touch the sims 2 because of the "game/neighborhood/save corruption" rumors. Some believed that the game would break, if they clicked on something wrong or were visited by some cursed NPC.
They either assume that it's fate and give up, or that modders can and will fix the game for EA.
Besides, most of the simmers are playing the sims 4, they don't care about the re-release and probably never played the old games.
ryzen 5 5600x, 32gb ram, 3060?
I'll pay more attention to the micro stuttering next time i play, maybe its there and i didn't notice. Sometime i'm not terribly sensitive to frame rate issues as i play on held held consoles mostly lol. steam deck sometimes hates me but it seems to run it quite well as well
