Anyone notice improvement with the three patch updates?
I am asking, because the reviews appear to be mixed. Some people noticed the three patches have fixed the game more, but others are still complaining about unresolved issues with bugs. It is confusing to me as to why some people have noticed improvement after the three patch updates and other people have not even if starting a new game instead of playing a corrupted save file.

I was thinking about buying this game, but the mixed reviews have me concerned and I still have not purchased this game yet. Four issues not specifically addressed yet by EA that I notice most commonly mentioned here that still need fixing include apartments, stairs, going on vacation, and the last one not being bug related but I can understand why it is upsetting to some people with the game lacking body shop where EA never explained to us why the body shop is missing from The SIms 2. Other people are complaining about bugs that were supposed to be fixed but apparently not while others in contrast have not noticed any issues yet or noticed issues before the patches and now they do not or notice less issues than before. There definitely will be a 4th patch update coming our way and possibly more patch updates after that, but so far I have not noticed yet with The Sims 2 Legacy Collection reaching above the 50% positive range when it comes to Steam reviews.

For reasons unknown, some people run into major issue after major issue when others either are running fine or get it resolved...

Also some people probably dont properly update their review maybe? idk.

The biggest issue i had personally was the audio quality and pets disappearing. The first is definitely solved. I havent put pets back in my households yet so i dont know if that is fixed fully or not.

I have had no trouble with stairs yet. Although the only stairs i have in the one household i play right now is a deck stair that works fine. I am doing a "DIY" Sims challenge where the house is built from scratch with what limited funds my Household has. Only just got the house to a decent size to even consider a second floor. WIll try and report back when i get around to that.

The other two gameplay issues i havent encountered yet. Largely because i am not, atm, interested in that portion of the game content. Body SHop is a weird exclusion to be sure and near and dear to a lot of old fans' hearts. Hopefully that is added in soon.

TDLR; yes i personally have noticed improvements. but the game is wildly chaotic concerning who it works fine for and who it doesnt. Some people with similar set ups are having wildly different experiences.

as for buying, as i said to another person with a similar inquiry, i want to tell you to go ahead and buy it. But I also want you to know that it seems to be, for whatever the reason, a roll of the dice whether or not it is gonna work flawlessly. I am leaning towards it will probably work fine. But keep in mind other people have had trouble. Although some of those people probably dropped the game without testing the new patches.

Thank you. I have not decided yet if I am going to buy The SIms 2 Legacy Collection or not. Maybe I will consider buying after the 4th patch update which if not coming this week then maybe next week or March. Some bug issues with The Sims 2 Legacy Collection could potentially be corrected with mods, but others require EA to get involved in fixing them.

 for everyone's sake I hope the 4th patch fixes the majority of issues. Sims 2 is amazing and I am in the camp that it is the best of the Sims games.

So I double checked and noticed a fourth patch update on February 20th, but it still did not specifically mention fixing bugs related to vacation and apartments. If I were to buy The Sims 2 Legacy Collection right now I might be willing to test the apartment experience, but I would still be scared of sending my sims on vacation. Stairs bug is supposed to be finally fixed now from the 4th patch update, but no mentioning of bugs related to apartments and vacation.
