The Sims Loading Screen Performance - Has It Improved?

I remember playing The Sims on my old machine back when I was a pre-teen, and the game used to lag so much on the loading screens whenever I'd leave my house to visit friends, go into the city, etc. Does this slowness still persist in this new version available on Steam?

No, the loading screens are not as long on an NVMe SSDs as they were on 5400 RPM hard drives. I think that should come as a no surprise. I didn't keep a stopwatch on me when my game loaded, but don't expect it to load for more than a few seconds.
