Small UI workaround

Here a user posted a resolution changer creating a shortcut that actually changes the resolution.

I tested from 1080p to 768p (1366x768) and it works as intended.

Of course, the lower the resolution the pixelated it will look but it's better than REALLY SMALL UI.
And with this, you don't need to change your external resolution everytime, just open the shortcut and once you close the game, your resolution will be the same as always.

Here's hoping EA actually fix the issue at the source though.

I've waited 25 years for the original Sims to come to Steam. There's no way they're gonna let a classic game like this be un-patched for modern systems.

I've waited 25 years for the original Sims to come to Steam. There's no way they're gonna let a classic game like this be un-patched for modern systems.

For them, the fix is really simple: just create a launcher like the old version to support 720/1080/1440/4k

Old version had it as previously stated, they know about the idea already. They've just decided not to implement it.

EA not fixing the UI scaling issue is completely inexcusable! It's their most popular game series. If they don't fix it, nobody will be able to enjoy the game to its fullest.

That's why there's mods. I've been finding all kinds on line that still work. This little UI cheat works: enter into cheat window BoolProp testingCheatsEnabled true. Use in the neighborhood before you enter the house you are planning to play and you can top up your Sims needs. Works just like the UI cheats you can download for Sims 4.

This only works for The Sims 2
