The Sims™ Legacy Collection

The Sims™ Legacy Collection

Always Dirty and Can't Get Comfortable
My sims can't seem to keep anything clean, despite my sims being neat in their traits. The toilets get dirty after one single use and random airborne flies develop so quickly. Roaches will appear, despite the house being clean. Why?!

Also, I now have a sim that just can't or won't get comfortable. I watched his comfort level while sleeping increase but it would not budge past a certain point.

I haven't played the first game in many years, but I don't recall keeping sims happy to be this difficult. This must be glitching right? Has the Sims always been more difficult than Sims 2 and 3???

This is possibly a bug in this new release, I don't remember game behaving like this. Someone who has the old collection should compare it against the current release.

This is by design. Cheap items can only fill up your bar so far. It has always been like this.

I haven't played Sims 1 in a while prior to this rerelease, but I can't say I've noticed any differences in need decay.
The sims 1 always was that difficult! But that was a time when most games was more difficult than now ;)
If you don want roaches you have to clean toilet after EVERY SINGLE USE ><
If you want to keep your sim in good mood, you have to buy better quality gear like bed, fridge, comfortable chair ect.

A lot of these 'bugs' to do with it being hard are like the original game. Does seem the original stays working once it's been successfully installed
The weirdest thing for me is the social bar

I remember I had to grind social a lot but not THAT much. The bar is always red for the tutorial guy girlfriend (I don’t know the English name).
Or maybe it’s my memories…I cannot make this game to run and lazy to download things to compare

It's definitely working as intended. The richer your sim becomes, the easier your life will be. The first part of the gameplay, working your way up the ladder are the hardest.

It might be that for social your sim is really craving it, their personalities do have an effect on their needs I believe. And I also think that if they're happy longer, it also affects their needs (or this might be something I've imagined?)

I don't remember getting that mansion ever without a bunch of cheats, and I played this game a lot as a kid.

This. I don't ever remember it being this hard to keep the social bar filled.

EDIT: This got a lot easier once they actually became "friends" with another sim. It's entirely possible I just never noticed that mechanic back in the day.

I seriously haven't noticed a difference in social needs or keeping friends, but there's definitely something up with flies.

I played with a different family for a bit and flies do not appear at all because I keep the place clean. With my family where I have both the butler and the maid hired keeping their place spotless at all times, flies appear almost on a daily basis. This is the same family save file that crashes if I have simlish voices on (vox option).

Lol I just hire a maid. I don't mind paying the 10 simoleons
