Tips to make the game easier ? (No cheats, no mods)
I wonder

I feel like actually being fired is better for the long term (so that you grind levels and friends)

Maid is not that expensive and saves a lot of time

Does better gear is better ? I feel like it’s very very hard to raises appetite and entairtanment

I have no clue about social bar, I’m always red

Any other tip ?

the best advice here is upgrade the basics when you have the cash, for example a more comfortable bed or chair. This makes it easier to keep the levels up, but the sims 1 is brutal when it comes to needs.
On The sims 1, the personality affects how certain moods decay. So if you need a easy mode, choose a sim with personality:

- Shy: slowly social bar decay
- Neat: slowly hygiene decay, but takes them longer to eat
- Active: slowly energy decay, faster body skill, but hunger decays faster

Tip: If the initial personality points are not enough to fulfill all the desired qualities, create a Sim with the opposite personality and:

- Buy chemistry set "Concoctanation Station"
- Make potions until you get a yellow potion
- Choose a sim to drink it
- Voila, you get a sim with reversed personality
The stereo raises fun and social at the same time but not too quickly.
Watching TV with another Sim is the better way to raise both.
The guitar raises creativity and fun. It's a group activity which could be a good or bad thing.
Swimming is a lot of fun but makes you tired.

Look through the objects and pay attention to the description, to see what you can work with. All Sims need some cooking skills. Have you're Sims eat their meals together to increase the social meter.

Make the most of the last hour, where the carpool for work arrives. Just be out the door before the last 10 minutes are up. This is a good time to have an extra bite to eat or watch some quick TV. Dance to music or gossip and talk with another Sim. Use the toilet or wash hands.

Like life you just gotta grind threw it sometimes.

Memorize the following on the keyboard.
Press P all the time to pause the game and plan ahead.
123 change game speed.
<> is quicker to rotate the camera.
Spacebar is the best way to switch characters

Those old strategy guides had some good information in them.

Actually, on US keyboard layout you can press whatever is left of 1 to pause. Has tilde (~) written on it. Much easier to press tilde, 1, 2, 3 as they're all next to each other. P is too far away to make it usable.

What I personally do is switch to Japanese keyboard layout on my Windows since it's the same as US keyboard layout when you use romaji input mode and play the game like that. Allows for quick pausing.
Good quality (that means expensive ;/ ) furniture - bed, fridge, cook, shower, computer (or tv on early game) with very comfortable chair. Thats why the best idea is make a sim living in very very small place but with better quality furniture, and get regular work - when sim is working mood bars are not moving so fast, and you earn money to build new, proper house :)
When you get little more monet buy telescope! It rises fun and teach logic!
Social bar is rising when you talking with other sim on the phone - but sims need to have similar intrests :D
Ok I will try to purchase better gear, the ones I have are really poor
Thanks for the little optimization tips like TV together

I played the game without issue while being a chiledren unless this port is broken it should not be « that » hard I guess :D
This is not like the garbage after the sims 2 this is what sims was meant to be basically every thing you buy has meaning but comes at a cost of possibly breaking down more often you need to learn to balance things.

You must still have it in your head this game will hold your hand sorry but sims 1 does not hold your hands if you mess up it tells you that you messed up.
