The Sims™ Legacy Collection

The Sims™ Legacy Collection

Should I buy this game?
Dear Steam Community,
It was my desire a long time ago to play the first Sims again…
So when it was released on Steam i was like in heaven.
But in the reviews people say it has many problems like crashes.
Are they right? I want to play it on PC..
What should I pay attention to if I want to play it without issues?

Thank you in advance!

I have the EA App version and both games work fine without crashes.
Note however that I tested it with a laptop (both Intel uhd and RTX 3050).
I tested it on the built-in 16:10 screen and an external 16:9 screen.
I did not test the game on my desktop rig.

I think TS1 render is a bit cleaner than TS2.

Then depends if you like the game. To me there are masterpieces, especially TS1 and it’s a delight to play it.

You can purchase it and refund if it does not work.
No. EA did nothing to make sure the game works correctly on modern systems. I'd wait for them to fix it. After much fighting, I was able to get it to run on my old gaming laptop, but after the patch it will not run no matter what on my Win 11 PC.

Do you play with mouse and keyboard?

As another poster said, you could buy it and try it out for like an hour and a half to see if it runs alright, and if not then get a refund.

But there's also no harm in waiting a few months for bugs to be ironed out, because there are tons people experiencing an irritating number of crashes, worst of all when saving the game.

No, there's free ways to get it. No money to EA.
From top to bottom what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fiasco.
I always support companies who care about their gamers, and EA is not one of them. If you want to play, try getting a good torrent for this instead

True, but EA usually doesn't care about fixing their own mistakes
