- Sims 1 does not run because of missing Vulkan
- Sims 2 does run without any problems
Yes, i know that my gpu is way behind minimum specs, but i am confused why Sims 2 runs, but Sims 1 doesnt. I would have guessed that both games use the same "port"-engine in the Legacy Ports.
Maybe this is really a problem or error in the latest Sims 1 patch.
We will see soon (hopefully).
There is no "port engine" for either, they both use their original engines, Sims 1 just traded DX6 support for Vulkan.
Adding on--- I might try 2 later though if that will work. super bummer to be able to play bioshock, but some how sims 1 is just not doable though
A majority of Sims 1's problems were caused by the fact it ran DX6, so moving it to a new graphic api was the only option, if not Vulkan it would have been DX12 or 11, none of which work with that particular card.
Can someone tell me how to do this?
