How do I get rid of airborne flies?
I've cleaned everything in and outside of the house, I moved all the furniture to see if anyone dropped an old food plate somewhere I couldn't see, but there's always airborne flies around my bathroom. I tried looking up a way to remove them but all I could find was to use the move_objects cheat to delete them. Is there a legit way to clear them out, or are they bugged (no pun intended).

Every now and then I see roaches appear in the bathroom too, which makes me think there must be something in the bathroom doing it. I clean the toilet and shower frequently though.

i have the same problem
i have no food plates, no puddles, no old newspaper, everything is clean, no catlitterbox dirty. and i stil have flies and roaches. the roaches i can stomp away but after a few days they do return.

i also turned around my house and looked in every corner but found notting.

i also get the text like oooh the skunk is on your lot, but it never arrives at all. but i do get the racoon 1 time.

the old way of move_objects on, is not working for sims or flies anymore like in the old times. i just cant find a way to click them.

so my only solution is to buy a cat so he can hunt on the critters.
but when i give my pets toys to play with that i bough the toy simply dissapear and does not stay on the ground. that is also very very weird!

I had the money to upgrade the sink and toilet in the bathroom and the flies seem to have disappeared for now. I'm starting to think it may have been a 'feature' of the cheapest sink or toilet, or was somehow connected to those objects even though I kept the toilet clean. Maybe the sink could get dirty even though you can't clean it as an interaction?

I don't mind the roaches spawning every now and then, at least my sim can spray them.

flies spawns even if you have dirty toilet/bath. The best solution is to hire a maid.

I was having the same problem and was using a cheap sink in the bathroom. I now bought the greenish, more expensive sink and the flies dissapeared! The sound they make is so annoying wow... So to get rid of the flies you need to buy a better sink! Edit: I see you already figured it out yourself, oops! Luckily no more annoying fly noises :)
2nd edit: the flies returned >:( I sold my new sink and bought the same one again new and the flies were gone again. Guess we need to keep selling and buying sinks

hire a maid she'll keep your sinks clean

Check if the toilet needs flushing, your sim isn't guaranteed to flush every time
If you want to use a mod that removes roaches, flies (not plate flies), skunk, raccoon, Claire the bear, rabbits, and gophers, go to google and look for simlogical's "No Scavengers" mod. It's amazing how fast your house fills with pests from having a single plate on a counter or not cleaning a toilet.

I have a maid so unfortunately, a maid doesn't guarantee that there are no flies :( I just sold my sink and the problem went away hahaha. Dirty hands are better than the fly noises brrr
I found it was because my toilet had no windows, once I put one in, no more flies!
