Bug: I am a 5 star celebrity. Game crashes when being given an award.

I have earned 5 stars as a superstar.

I saved my game around 1 minute before a celebrity comes to the house lot to give me an award. She arrives, all smoothly... every time she hands over the award / trophy, the game crashes and closes.

Load game back up, repeat... 1 minute away from receiving award. Celebrity arrives to present me with an award... BOOM CRASH game gone.

Only option I can think of is to quit the superstar career? or switch to a new job to try and avoid being given this game breaking award?

Try
On steam right click the game, properties, launch options use "-w" let the game launch fully, then "ALT + ENTER" at the same time till you're back into full screen.

I'm having zero crashes as of now with my 5120 x 1440 screen resolution.
The game is weird at fullscreen launching at first.

I have the same problem as you. I tried changing the GPU and adjusting the default screen size, but it doesn't work. :(

In the end, I gave up and canceled the event to continue playing.
