The Sims™ Legacy Collection

The Sims™ Legacy Collection

should i just wait to buy it?
Just a quick question. i was thinking to buy the legacy collection (both 1 and 2) mainly for nostalgic reasons but from what i read both games are basically a buggy mess now right (bolderline unplayable)?

The only issues I've seen people having w/ TS1 are UI scaling on 1080p, fixed with a steam launch option, and FPS issues with certain AMD cards on lots with many sims. So if you don't have an AMD card you're gucci for TS1.

I love both games, sims 2 has been working perfectly for me so far.
Sims 1 will need some fixing unless you're willing to run it at lower resolution to stop crashes.

that's not the ONLY ISSUES the biggest issue is that both games (especially sims 1) is crash every 10 minutes

is that some small issue to you that a game crash every 10 minutes is enough to gas light the real issue here?

Only seen mass complaining of that on the TS2 board (and the accompanying reviews on that game's steam page), if it's happening to you with TS1 then that's clearly not a widespread problem lol.

I don't have any issues with the release, I did hard crash once when I tried to save (losing an hour of progress) but other than that it works fine but a few updates would be nice to prevent crashing. Also there's literally zero QoL additions, which would have been more than welcome.
Maxis will realise the patch update for the Lagacy Edition of both games.

Seeing as there are many people who only started encountering issues hours after gameplay and now wish they could refund, I'm going to go with yes, you should wait.

The main issue i'm experiencing is lag on community lots, otherwise it is working fine for me.

No you shouldn't buy it. Its corporate trying to bleed us more instead of doing their job and making Sims 5 due to there being no real programmers left yet they crave no show corporate job cash.

Sims 4 sucks, so 5 would just be more of the same; They can keep it.

I'd wait for a sale, my experience of both games have been very well on my Windows 11 and Steam Deck.

The problem is just the fact of how steep of pricing the games are. For crashing that varies from one person to the next, I have 0 so far and no bugs.

Game works for me

Waiting myself, also kind of hoping they would have added some achievements.

I don't mind supporting them just this once but I heard that many people are experiencing bugs, slowdowns and ♥♥♥♥? Yeah...
