Anyone knows how to fix the launcher problem? (sims 1)

I just bought the Sims 1. I've been waiting to buy this game my whole life and now it's not working.

How do you mean? There's no launcher here - it just starts up. What are you seeing?

Me, same problem. Bought on Steam yesterday, downladed fine. But does not start at all. I get the Sims 1 icon in the task bar for about a second or shorter, gone. Not starting. And even saying I "played" for a minute total. You can request a refund via Steam, but I want this game so much as well, played it in my youth and waited, really waited for it. 40 EUR and it is not working... classic EA, everone. Please anyone say they have a working fix. There is another discussion on here, but I have Radon, not the other kind and the Power Saving Settings do not save the issue, at least not for many here and not for me. Might work for you, however. Check discussions via Support and EA discussions, it will tell you to update the power saving mode of graphics menu but only for the SIms 1 game. Then it works for some, for others it does not, unfortunately.

However, you can click in your game Steam library right mouse button, settings and request the system to "fix" / "check" the SIMs game files for you. Was not the issue for me -.- .

Hoping for a working fix, really do.

The same thing happens to me as you. The icon appears for a millisecond, then closes and says I played one minute

I mean it doesn't open the game. A second appears and closes
