Importing older saving files

So, I have this house (house73) that I've been playing since 2005. I tried to replace the file on the UserData folder and it didn't work. No matter what I do (I even tried to delete the whole folder), I can't change the houses in my neighborhood. Anyone with a similar problem?

Yep, apparently it doesn't work. I deleted all the 8 UserFile folders and my neighborhoods are still there. Apparently the game is saved on cloud.

I noticed houses aren’t updating in my game either I can add custom furniture perfectly but the houses never show up no matter what, could this be some type of bug?

I’m having the same problem, custom content all transfers over but none of my houses or characters do. It’s so weird since it uses the same file formats of the original games so I don’t get what’s going on?

Searched my hard drive and the game seems to be loading saves from C:\Users\UserName\Saved Games\Electronic Arts\The Sims 25

Does anyone know how to find the folder location on Linux/steamdeck? I can’t seem to find it.

I've tested the transferring of UserData from my PC to the Deck from my (very old) Sims folder. Worked perfectly fine.
It also explains why I was unable to switch to any other neighborhoods and why a bunch of old NPCs were missing from their houses. They only have one UserData folder in there for some reason...
