Sims 1 frame rate issue
When I have 1 sim on screen it runs perfectly. More than one sim on screen absolutely tanks the performance. I absolutely love this game but it's almost unplayable if I want to get my social meter up. Anyone know of any potential fixes already? I know it's only been a few hours since it released.
Or I'll have to hope they update it at some point

Same here, seems normal on home lot. Went to town and frame rate dropped significantly.
I'm on Radeon 7900XT

Radeon 6700XT - fps drops significantly if there are more than two sims on screen.
I have a Radeon 7800XT and the game runs fine until I go downtown, it drops to 18fps and as low as 2.

Same in a 7600, seems to be an issue with AMD

The weird part is my steam deck is running this game a lot better than my main PC.

PC specs:
5700X3D
6800 XT
32GB RAM

Yeah that's wild idk why, this has to be some sort of Adrenaline issue or something- I mean AMD's top of the line card struggling on the sims 1 is not something that was on my bingo card this year LMAO
I thought my game was bugged but yeah any more than a few sims my game slows down (and crashed once visiting downtown). 7900xtx, 64gb 7900x. Weirdly enough if my house is covered in stray pets the game still runs fine
I've noticed that if there's no sims on screen the framerate becomes unlocked but when a sim is on screen it drops to 60fps. This happens in both the vanilla and legacy versions.

Well, it is a newly released game that is very demanding on the hardware. Maybe you should think about upgrading your computer.

Same issue running on an RX6650 on a 3440x1440. As soon as any more than 2 sims appear on the screen the FPS just becomes unplayable. I've tried a few vague fixes I found online, but no success so far. Just gonna wait until it's fixed and else request a refund.
