Zoom/Display Issue

The game looks awfully zoomed out, not being fullscreen, the layout is very small and the town is in a square with a blue backgroud and the houses are tiny. Once playing live mode the game does go into full mode HOWEVER the layout/gamebar that shows your sim and their needs and such is TINY. They have not changed in game options to switch display options or to change fullscreen, etc.... and the most that you can actually zoom in the game is nooooooot helping. You can zoom out as much as you can seeding the blob of land you own with a gray screen background which is unnecessary and the most you can zoom in isn't enough. If anyone finds a solution to this that would be great!

It doesn't let me, it says I need to be using a cracked Sims.exe that has not been patched to a custom resolution...

Back in 2000. people played games on bulky block shaped monitors. I guess EA didn't think of how everybody uses flat screen rectangle ones and have some way to accommodate today's equipment. I'm so glad they got the game to work. The same for me. I think is a port. I believe so visuals have been improved. The game is very fast with instant loads just like before

You can use alt+enter to scale the UI.

@ 111112oo what resolution are you running at?
I'm 1080p and Alt-Enter does no scaling,, all it does is change the game from Windowed to Full screen. It's weird how the scaling works for some people and not others.

Thanks - yep that screenshot showing 1080p is exactly how small my UI is. I hope they fix it.

There is a solution/workaround that you can easily create yourself, saving you the hassle of constantly adjusting the resolution manually.
