The Sims™ Legacy Collection

The Sims™ Legacy Collection

How to run in borderless fullscreen
Add this to the launch option:

-w -r800x600 [BUT YOUR RESOLUTION]

Then hit alt-enter when it launches. Done.

Doesn't help, map still has more black space than an actual map, text during gameplay is still abysmall

The only solution I found is changing the resolution of your windows 10/11 to 800x600, then launching the game. Then map is really fulscreen and you can read text during gameplay

I dont understand how to changing the resolution in windows?... Do I need to go to the Sims folder?

The neighbourhood will always have black space.

Right click it on steam ---> properties ----> launch options

Going to try it! Thanks, but before that I looked into the folder and changed the properties of the game on the icon, there is in the option "compability" the option to run it on 600x480. This is too small but maybe someone knows how to change it there to 600x800.
Does it change other games if Im going to change the properties in steam? Or is only Sims affected on this one?

I don't think you need to do that with the re-releases.

Does your game keep minimizing whenever alt/tabbing or clicking off screen? I tried doing this and it does go to windowed mode, but I cannot get a smaller resolution to work so I don't have to hide my taskbar

It does, but it doesn't do the fullscreen blackscreen thing like it does without this. It's close enough.

The neighbourhood will always have black space.

Because it's essentially a static 4:3 image. Once you get into the game it's widescreen. Why is this so difficult lol? Like the dude said, change your launch options to -w -r1920x1080 (or whatever you use) then alt+enter to go between borderless/windowed/maximized window. It's really not that hard guys. Literally the exact same thing you do with SimCity 3000 on Steam.

Yeah I know, that was directed at everyone in here. TY for trying to help people figure it out.
it could just be me but sims 1 legacy collection seems to completely ignore the resolution parameter. when i specify -r800x600 or -r1024x768 or anything else it still launches at 1920x1080, which is problematic imo since i usually play in windowed mode with the game running on a lower resolution. forcing the game to launch on 640x480 via a windows compatibility option causes my entire desktop's resolution to be set at 640x480 and stays like that even after closing the game until i open control panel and change my resolution back to 1920x1080.

Dude - read the other posts here. There's a bug with 1080p users where the launch parameters don't do anything..
