How much of a pain is the EA App/launcher stuff?

Must be a mistake. I have been playing and the EA app doesn't even launch like it does in other EA games such as BF4 and Titanfall 2.

There's no EA launcher or Denuvo at all. The store page improperly tags the included Sims 4 DLC; Sims 4 has EA launcher and Denuvo.
