I recently talked to support about them removing achievements and got a different response to "we can't do that anymore" which they told me before. Now they said that half of the tickets are about it and: we'll be attempting to resolve achievement issues where we can around shutdown which would include removing the 3 most problematic achievements from Steam. Just wanted to mention it because I don't see anyone talking about it....
