Known Issue: Locked Resolution

Hey folks! We are aware that some of you are experiencing issues with getting Dauntless to run at or about 1080p resolution. If you're able to provide more info here as well as detailed PC specifications we will continue to investigate. We greatly appreciate it!

I fix it, installing the game on console, start the game, play like 5 min, and then come to PC, its seems to be a problem on the video start

Yeah, not sure what is going on why it forces it into a windowed mode at lowest resolution and you can't alt-enter during the intro. Really annoying.

Welp, I'll go play other things and maybe come back in a month or so.

Last time I played the game was on the Nintendo switch.

There is 2560x1440p support im running linux yoyr windows is problem.

I can assure you Windows is not the source of the problem. This is an issue with Dauntless and the awakening update.

i not see even running on windows even at 4k i get at 2k 144fps or everyone running at 60 game on pc

I went back and tried this on the Epic client. My desktop PC with a 4090 and 7800x3d and 4k display had no issues whatsoever with resolution.

However trying to play it on my gaming laptop with a 4060 and ryzen 7 7840HS with 1080p display I ran into the resolution issues everyone is getting.

I was able to "work around" the broken game client however by editing the setting ini file and setting it to "read only" to prevent the broken game client from changing it.

C:\Users\(Your Name)\AppData\Local\Archon\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini

DesiredScreenHeight=1080
LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenWidth=1920
LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenHeight=1080
LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=0
PreferredFullscreenMode=0

Set the resolution to your desired monitor resolution. And for the fullscreenmode you can use 0 for full screen, and 1 or 2 for windowed/windowed no border. (Not sure which is which between 1 and 2) And last "MAKE SURE YOU SET THE FILE AS READ ONLY". Or it will f**k up all of it after you launch the game.

PS: This will not fix the broken loading screen being a tiny window on launching the game, but will fix the game after it loads in to the main menu screen.

The game is getting shut down soon anyway since the entire development team was fired a few days ago. So not much point in playing aside from nostalgia. But you do you.
