Known Issue: Locked Resolution

Hey folks! We are aware that some of you are experiencing issues with getting Dauntless to run at or about 1080p resolution. If you're able to provide more info here as well as detailed PC specifications we will continue to investigate. We greatly appreciate it!

Ive played Dauntless long time ago... but rly? no 1440p till this day?(((

Specs:
R5 5700x3d + RTX 4070 Win 11

Running RTX 3080 and monitor supports 1440p.

I had this issue but I already uninstalled I hated all the other changes and the combos tutorial in was unclear.

try restarting your pc. It unlocked the native res for me.

Having this issue as well but with getting it to run at 1440p.
Fullscreen and windowed modes show 1080 as the highest resolution.
Windowed-Full auto sets the resolution to something weird in between 1080p and 1440p. Trying to force the resolution in the game settings ini did not work either.

CPU is a 5700x3D and GPU is a 6700XT.

i play 49" ultra wide no poroblem, rtx 4080

Highest resolution I can set is 1600x900. I need to set to 1440p but there is no option in any display mode. Never had issues with any other game.

Ryzen 5800x3d
NVidia RTX 3080
64 GBs DRR4 3200 MHZ
MSI monitor 240 Hz 1440p
Game files installed on M.2 EVO 970

Edit:

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Archon\Saved\Config\WindowsClient

Open gameusersettings.ini
Fix these lines:

ResolutionSizeX=2560
ResolutionSizeY=1440
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=2560
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1440

Or whatever resolution you want.
Set to read-only(unsure if required)

Ignore what it tells you after that about what res you're in, you should be in the one you set in the ini.

You will need to change some of the other lines for that.

FullscreenMode=0
LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=1
PreferredFullscreenMode=1

Not sure which is which though, CBF testing atm. I'd try 1 and 2.

thanks, i have to start it in borderless, then alt+enter, but it lets me resize the window now to a size where i can see stuff without having to drop my monitor res down
