Dauntless is pure disaster now.
If you aren't against some narration and exploration, you can try Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen but once again, for mure monster fights, MH is better.
Toukiden is probably the easiest hunting game around, but it has a fun story and very fun combat. My recommendation would be Toukiden 2, as it has an open world, more weapons and improved mechanics. While I'm pretty sure the online is utterly dead, the game provides you with ai hunters who are highly competent.
In that same breath, I have over 100 hours in Wild Hearts. It's been abandoned by the devs at this point, but still has a small die hard fan base, and what we have is still decent. Not nearly as polished as MH, but it might scratch the Monster Hunter itch until Wilds has been released.
God Eater is probably the blandest, combat is pretty lackluster, but still fun. Not too sure on the online scene.
