Dauntless. Worth re-entering?
I played Dauntless quite a while ago, should be over 3 years by now, but I can't really say because I uninstalled Epic Games for good from my system. I liked the game, but due to time, I couldn't stay engaged enough among my many other games.

Now I saw the overall rating was negative. I also skipped over some of the reasons. So I'm wondering... Is Dauntless still worth playing on a casual basis (maybe spending a buck or ten), or should I rather stay away?

Casually it could still be fun if you're willing to look past the flaws. Speaking from experience as an old hardcore player, getting into the meta will likely end up being a stale mess, so sticking to casual play is my recommendation. The fights are interesting and some of the behemoth designs are fantastic, and you'll get a decent few hours out of those alone.

In my opinion there's not enough game to compete with other games on your list, even with Awakening's launch. But, I still recommend trying it for an hour or two to see if it sticks.

Glad to hear that a casual approach can still be done, in which case I'll download it overnight and give it a try again. Flaws, I have to see, depends on how much they impact my playstyle and flow. And I mean I'd rather have a game I can casually enjoy for an hour or two after work, rather than viewing it as a chore to stay relevant or progress in a snail's pace. Hence why I'm also up for spending some money to speed that up. Couldn't remember if "pay to progress faster" was a thing, even, I remember that it was only cosmetics.

Well, other games on my list are... Well, they're certainly my favorites, though Warframe has gotten to a point where it became a chore as well towards end-game.

Thank you for the answer. :)
